Airtel launched Airtel Internet TV which is based on Android TV and includes full support of Android TV apps and games.

Airtel Internet TV set top box comes with a dish antenna like regular Airtel Digital TV. As its name, Airtel Internet TV works with an internet connection. For internet TV Airtel recommends users to have a minimum broadband speed of 4 Mbps for a smooth experience.

Airtel Internet TV supports 4K content along with SD and HD content. It is based on Android TV, it means users can access Google Play store to download apps, games and other media content on their TV. It also comes with built-in Chromecast so you can watch content from your phone, tablets, laptop and desktop.

The Airtel Internet TV also inbuilt with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, an HDMI port, two USB ports, as well as a port for a standard AV cable. So users playback content using Bluetooth except USB. For game lovers this set top box make use of the internet TV using gaming controllers.

User play, pause and record the live TV content as their needs. The content may record in your pen drive or in inbuilt storage of 8GB which can be expandable via SDcard slot up to 128GB or or a 2TB hard drive.

The remote of this device is also hybrid so that user can command the remote by voice also that works based on Google Voice search.

It comes preloaded with Netflix, YouTube, Google Play Games, Airtel Movies etc. It provides full access to Google Play Store to download apps and games and access them on the TV along with over 500 satellite TV channels.

Airtel Internet TV available on Amazon at Rs. 4,999 with 3 months of free subscription to HD as well as SD channels. Airtel also has a Rs. 7,999 plan in which users can get 12 months of subscription free. Netflix trial of 1 month, 3 months of Eros Now subscription and TV games are bundled with both plans.

Airtel also offer 25GB of additional data free every month for existing Airtel Broadband user. For this, users will have to register under “MyHome” on MyAirtel app.

After the introductory free period of 3 months (Rs. 4,999) or 12 months (Rs. 7,999), users have to pay Rs. 500 per month for 500 SD channels or Rs. 700 per month for 500 HD channels.
