Apple launched iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus in the event at Steve Jobs Theater at Apple Campus along with the flagship iPhone X. The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus design are same as their predecessors with metal and glass bodies frame.
The Apple iPhone 8 features 4.7‑inch and iPhone 8 Plus features 5.5‑inch Retina HD displays with true tone a wide colour gamut and 3D Touch.
Apple’s iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are powered by A11 Bionic processor with six-cores and improved GPU, which is 30 percent more efficient than the GPUs in last year’s models. Both smartphones come in only two storage variants – 64GB and 256GB.
The iPhone 8 comes with a 12-megapixel rear camera, and the iPhone 8 Plus comes with a duo of 12-megapixel camera sensors. Among other new capabilities, both the new iPhone models can shoot 1080p videos in 240 frames per second.
The Apple iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus comes in Silver, Space Gray, and Gold Finish color options. It comes with an improved display, 25 percent louder speakers compare to its predecessors. Both the new iPhone models support Qi wireless inductive charging.
Interested users will able to pre-orders both new phones in the US, the UK, China, Australia and 25 other countries on September 15, its shipping begins on September 22.
The iPhone 8 price in the US for 64GB and 256GB variants will be $699 and $849, respectively, and the iPhone 8 Plus will cost $799 and $949 for the 64GB and 256GB variants.
The iPhone 8 price in India for the 64GB variant is Rs. 64,000, while the 256GB model costs Rs. 77,000. The iPhone 8 Plus price in India has been set as Rs. 73,000 for 64GB storage variant, while the model with 256GB storage is Rs. 86,000. The iPhone 8 models’ release date in India is September 29, as part of the second phase of release.
