Asus launched the Asus ZenFone AR in India which is the first smartphone in the world with Google Daydream and Tango support.

The Asus ZenFone AR highlighted features are its the Daydream and Daydream-supported apps. It also supports the AR/VR, and a 23-megapixel rear camera with dual-PDAF, laser autofocus, OIS, and EIS, apart from motion tracking depth and sensing cameras, as well as an infrared (IR) rangefinder.

The ZenFone AR also sports a “premium-crafted metallic diamond-cut” body and bears a fingerprint sensor on the home button. dual-SIM (Nano)

The Asus ZenFone AR feature 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED display with 1440×2560 pixels resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection that support over 100 percent NTSC colour gamut. It runs ZenUI 3.0 based on Android 7.0 Nougat.

The Asus new smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor (two cores clocked at 2.34GHz and two core clocked at 1.6GHz) with 8GB of LPDDR4 RAM. It is optimised for Google Tango and Daydream VR performance. The Indian variant of ZenFone AR comes with 128GB of inbuilt UFS 2.0 storage which is expandable via microSD card up to 2TB in a hybrid dual-SIM slot.

The Asus ZenFone AR primary camera is 23-megapixel with an f/2.0 aperture, 6P Largan lens, TriTech Focus System (dual-PDAF, laser autofocus, continuous autofocus), RGB sensor for colour correction, 4-axis OIS for photos, 3-axis EIS for videos, and RAW file support. Its front facing camera is 8-megapixel with an f/2.0 aperture, a 85-degree wide-angle lens, and dual-LED flash. The front camera sports HDR and real time beautification modes.

The handset is powered by a 3300mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. Other features of the smartphone include 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.2, USB Type-C 2.0, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, a 3.5mm headphone jack, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, barometer, digital compass, gyroscope, an infrared sensor, and proximity sensor.

Along with above features, the smartphone also bears the five-magnet speaker, NXP amplifier, Hi-Res Audio support, DTS HD Premium sound, DTS Headphone:X 7.1 channel virtual surround sound, and dual-microphone active noise cancellation for better audio quality.

the Asus ZenFone AR has been priced in India at Rs. 49,999. It will be available in a Black colour variant in India exclusively on Flipkart.
