Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ has launched in India. In India both smartphone launch without samsung owned Bixby voice-based virtual assistant which is claimed to said that this will added in future update.

Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 plus will release in India on May 5. Its booking start from today itself on Flipkart and some other retailers.

The Galaxy S8 measures 148.9×68.1x8mm and weighs 155 grams while the Galaxy S8+ measures 159.5×73.4×8.1mm and weighs 173 grams.

The samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ comes with iris recognition feature which is a biometric recognition scanner that scans iris to unlock the phone, verify Samsung account, and more. Apart from iris this phone also support Facial recognition and fingerprint scanner which is located at the back.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 QHD+ Super AMOLED display size is 5.8-inch with 1440×2960 pixels resolutions while the Galaxy S8+ QHD+ Super AMOLED display size is 6.2-inch with 1440×2960 pixels resolutions. Both smartphone display are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and they are termed as Infinity Displays.

Both smartphone the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ are dust and water resistant with IP68 certification and both runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS. The flagships inbuilt with 12-megapixel ‘Dual Pixel’ rear camera with optical image stabilisation and an f/1.7 aperture and there is an 8-megapixel front camera with autofocus on board as well, featuring an f/1.7 aperture.

The Indian version of Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ are powered by Samsung Exynos 8895 processor (2.35GHz Quad + 1.9GHz Quad) with 4GB of RAM and come with 64GB inbuilt storage which is expandable via microSD card up to 256GB.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ other features include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4GHz, 5GHz), Bluetooth v5.0, USB Type-C, NFC, GPS, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, barometer, gyroscope, heart rate sensor, magnetometer, proximity sensor, Samsung Pay, with NFC and MST connectivity. The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ will ship with new high-performance earphones tuned by AKG by Harman in the box.

The Galaxy S8 fuelled by 3000mAh and Galaxy S8+ fuelled by 3500mAh battery. Both smartphones will support wireless charging with fast charging support.

In the same event Samsung has also announced the Samsung DeX dock similar to Microsoft Continuum, which allows the users to convert their smartphones into a desktop-like configuration by docking it to monitor, keyboard, and mouse.

Samsung Galaxy S8 will be available in Midnight Black and Maple Gold colour options. It has been priced at Rs. 57,900 (MOP). The Samsung Galaxy S8 plus will be available in Midnight Black, Coral Blue, and Maple Gold colour variants. It has been priced at Rs. 64,900 (MOP).
