Tesla CEO Elon Musk unveiled the new Tesla Model 3 Thursday evening at the Hawthorne Design Center USA. The Tesla Model 3 will have at least 215 miles of range and have a starting price of $35,000. Acceleration on the base model four-door sedan will be 0-60 mph in under 6 seconds. The Model 3 will also come standard with Autopilot and Supercharging capabilities. Superchargers can charge Tesla cars from 0 to 100 percent in roughly 75 minutes.
The look of the Tesla Model 3 is sexy clean, and it has an unmatched unique design that could easily be taken for a concept car. The introduced Tesla Model 3 will be available in three beautiful color red, matte grey and silver.
The roof of the Tesla Model 3 is made entirely of glass for a remarkable overhead view from anywhere within the vehicle. The overhead view design for front seats as well as the rear seat passenger also. The large piece of roof glass extends from the base of the windshield to the trunk of the car.
The Tesla Model 3’s interior is incredibly simple and used smaller center touchscreen display in its design comapre to previous models. The cabin is dominated by a touchscreen which is mounted in a horizontal landscape position rather than vertically as in other Teslas, making it for a wider viewport presumably to showcase more information without having to scroll. Speed and gear selection are displayed in the upper corner of the screen, with a strip of climate controls at the bottom.
Tesla used smaller center touchscreen display on the Model 3, measuring 15″. The Model 3 does not have a driver’s instrument cluster hence all of the information that would normally reside within that area, such as a speedometer, regen meter, and miscellaneous indicators, need to be displayed on the center screen.
